Step 1: Free phone consultation 
 
Contact me via phone, email, or the online form on this website to schedule a 20-minute phone consultation. This is meant as an opportunity for me to tell you more about my services, assess your needs and goals, answer any questions you may have, and help you determine if we are a good fit.

Step 2: Initial intake appointment 
Schedule an in-person evaluation, during which I will gather information about your pain, your current and past treatments, and your medical, psychological, and social history.  This will help us develop a treatment plan that is a good fit for your unique background and circumstances. Although this intake process can typically be completed in 60 minutes, a longer appointment may be necessary depending on the complexity of your case.
Step 3: Treatment sessions 
 
The frequency and number of sessions will depend on your individual treatment plan. Sessions are typically 50 minutes, but longer appointment times may be offered as clinically indicated. 
What to Expect
Fees:
My session costs are comparable to those of other doctoral (PhD) level psychologists in the Bay Area. I accept payment in the form of cash, check, or credit card. Payment is due at the time of services.
I accept original Medicare at this time. For other insurance plans, you may be eligible to receive full or partial reimbursement for my services as an "out of network" benefit. Please consult with your insurance carrier to confirm benefits prior to starting services.  

 
Cancellation policy:
No-shows or cancellations with less than 24 hours notice will be subject to a fee of up to 100% of the session cost. If you cannot keep your appointment, please notify me as soon as possible so that I can offer the time to another client who may need it.
